It’s not a combination you hear often, but it’s definitely something we’d like to hear more of.
Scotland’s Senti is currently painting a name for himself within the country’s music scene. However, his story is unique because, by day, he is training to mend hearts, but by night, he is breaking them with his Enrique Iglesias-style vocals and distinct uncanniness to the Spanish mid-2000s heartthrob.
With buckets and spades worth of charm and an immense amount of musical and medical talent to go with it, it’s no surprise that Senti is becoming quite a popular figure within his Scottish circles. He has just released his debut single, He She It, which pays homage to his love for the romantic and passionate world of flamenco, as well as his native homeland of Scotland. Unafraid to fuse the two cultures, he chooses Latin-style guitars and breathy vocals with choreography from Aberdeen’s dance troupe The Valkyries.
You can tell that Senti loves where he comes from, but you can also tell that he is creatively inspired by the rich and historical flamenco culture. Dating back to the Andalusian Roma Gypsies of southern Spain, it has been passed down from generation to generation since the fifteenth century.
So, if you’ve ever wondered whether Scottish and Latin culture could work together side by side, here’s your evidence.
